The Global Crypto Market Cap is down by 0.75% to $812.18B at the time of writing this article. Over the past 24 hours, the overall volume of the Cryptocurrency Market has decreased by 11.68% to $27.55B.

DeFi’s total 24-hour volume is $1.68B, or 6.10% of the overall Crypto Market volume. All Stablecoin volume is currently $26.64B, or 96.68% of the 24-hour volume of the whole Crypto Market. The total 24-hour volume of DeFi and Stablecoin has increased slightly in comparison to last week.

Bitcoin was trading at $16,748.43 at the time of writing. According to data from CoinMarketCap, Bitcoin’s dominance is currently 39.70%, an increase of 0.11% from the previous day. In the last 24 hours, the price of ETH decreased by 0.63% to $1,244.35, while the price of BNB went down by 0.21% to $256.31.

14 years of Bitcoin

On January 3, 2022, bitcoin and crypto investors all over the world celebrated 14 years of bitcoin, flooding Twitter and other social media websites with support for the first and most dominant cryptocurrency by market cap.

The genesis block of Bitcoin (BTC) was mined on January 3, 2009, making it 14 years old on January 3, 2023. Bitcoin adoption is growing, with more companies and countries investing in the asset. The cryptocurrency community has rejoiced, predicting that Bitcoin will continue to grow for many years to come.

The cryptocurrency is expected to grow for many more years, and steadily increasing adoption will help. Bitcoin’s 14th birthday is just another milestone in what could be a long life for the groundbreaking financial asset.

Australia becomes the 4th largest crypto ATM hub

El Salvador’s position as the fourth-largest crypto ATM hub was brief, as Australia stepped up its game in the months that followed. El Salvador, the first country to legalize Bitcoin, has dropped another spot in total crypto ATM installations as Australia records 216 ATMs as the year 2023 approaches.

According to CoinATMRadar data, Australia deployed 99 crypto ATMs in the last three months of 2022. Australia had 219 active crypto ATMs as of January 1, 2023, outnumbering El Salvador by 7 ATMs at the time of writing. Australia accounts for 0.6% of global crypto ATM installations and, at this rate, is well-positioned to surpass Asia’s crypto ATM total of 312 ATMs. The total number of crypto ATMs in the world is 38,602, with 6,071 installed in 2022 alone.

The year 2023 proves to be the year of cryptocurrencies, with more and more countries adopting them, allowing the world to see the true potential of cryptocurrencies and bitcoin.
